Different tokens will have different crypto-native functions depending on it’s design. The following list are common uses seen in many decentralized networks today:
- Staking
- This is when you deposit your tokens in a smart contract in order to access a service e.g. validating transactions on the network
- Voting
- This is when you use your tokens to signal your preference on a decision that affects the network.
- Payments
- This is when you use your tokens to pay fees to access the networks services
